New York post hardcore band founded in 1993 by the two core members Daryl Palumbo [vocals] and Justin Beck [guitar]. The band has gone through many lineup changes since they have formed. They released three albums, Everything You Wanted To Know About Silence [2000], Worship And Tribute [2002], and Material Controll [2017]. SOme notable EPS are Kiss Kiss Bang Bang [1997], Our Color Green (The Singles) [2011], and Coloring Book [2011].

American nu metal band based in Des Moine Iowa formed in 1995. Shawn Crahan, known as Clown, founded the band with former vocalist/percussionist Anders Colsefni and Paul Gray [bass]. Their earliest line up consisted of Joey Jordison [drums], Donnie Steele [guitar], Craig Jones [sampling, formerly guitar], Josh Brainard [guitar]. Steele would leave the band after finding religion and Craig would fill his spot on guitar, though this didn't last long as his spot would be replaced by Mick Thomson [guitar]. Mate Feed Kill Repeat [MFKR] was Slipknot's first release in Halloween 1996 and was limited to 1000 copies. A year later, the band decided to get Corey Taylor [vocals] of another popular Iowa band Stone Sour to be their vocalist. Joey, Shawn, and Mick would enter his workplace, which was a adult store at the time, and ask him to join. He did and Ander eventually becamr the percussionist who did backup vocals. He eventually left the band and was replaced by Greg Welts or "Cuddles" [percussionist]. Sid Wilson [DJ] would soon join after being at one of their shows and headbutting Clown 6 times, which almost caused him to pass out. In 1998 SLipknot signed a deal with Roadrunner Records and Ross Robinson was set to produce their first album. Two lineup changes occured during this time. Cuddles and Joshleft the band and were filled in by Chris Fehn [percussionist] and Jim Root [guitar] respecftully. Jim was also in Corey's previous band. Their fisrt album, Slipknot was released in 1999 and the band was put on the Ozzfest 99 tour which gained them a sizeable audience. ill update this more later

Armenian/American nu metal band formed in 1994. The members are Serj Tankian [vocals], Daron Malakian [guitar], Shavo Odadjian [bass], and John Dolmayan [drums]. They release five albums, System Of A Down [1998], Toxicity [2001], Steal This Album! [2002], amd the double album Mezmerizeand Hypnotize [2005].
