Bio

Deadsy is an industrial/goth/nu metal band formed in 1995 by members Elijah Blue Allman, Renn Hawkey, and Alec Pure. They call their sound Undercore. The three of them would be signed to Sire/Electra records in 1996. Deadsy's first album, Deadsy, was released in 1997. They didn't have a bass player at the time so Jay Gordon would fill in on some songs, specifically "Flowing Grower", "Future Years", "Cruella", and "Sleepy Hollow", the latter song featuring Jonathan Davis of KoRn.

During this time, Sire split from Electra as the label was bought by London Records which left Deadsy to be under Warner Bros for a short time. The label allowed the band to leave withfull ownership of their material. In 1998, Craig Riker would become the band's permanent bassist. Deadsy signed to Elementree Records, which is a label owned by KoRn and got distribution by DreamWorks Records. Carlton Bost would join in 2001 as the band's Ztar player, which is a midi guitar. In January 2002, Craig was replaced by Ashburn Miller. The longly awaited Commencement would release in May 14, 2002.

DreamWorks merged with Interscope Records the next year and Deadsy decided to leave the label and sign to Immotal Records in 2006 where they released their second album Phantasmagore in August 22 of the same year. A year later, Ashburn left the band and was replaced by Jens Funke. The same year, Elijah would announce that the band would be going on a hiatus.

This hiatus would last for 13 years until Deadsy would announce on July 14, 2020 that they would be releasing their thirld album, Subterfugue, in early 2021. They would also announce a remaster for Phantasmagore. In 2023, Renn would announce that he would be leaving the band. There were also difficulties with the vinyl repressings of Phantasmagoe that Elijah would apologize for. So far, the album has not be released yet but the song, (study for a protrait of) Napolean In Rags was released in February 8, 2024.
